All Apologies

Between doing jackshit and rolling the dice towards my impending future (got a "Help Wanted" sign, anyone?), I just have not been up on the blogging thang. Also, I haven't had much love to rub you with. But now I do, so let the rubdown begin. Also, my conscience is reminding me to mention that the majority of the images I post come via the brilliant Rachel Dobkin, whose currently gettin' her MFA in painting at Tyler. Click that hypertext, won't ya?

Oh, and I don't feel like writing all hyperbolic and shit just to tell you to download these tracks, so download this shit. It's all golden shit.

Fans of authentic info and cross-country skiing dig the fuck out of Martin Rev. Fans of sucking do not. OK!

So, like, last December or somethin', I was listening to Riton's "Euro" mix on the ol' Beats in Space Radio Program and was bowled over by the track "Sweet Sixteen" by Diga Rhythm Band, a hyper-melodic drum jam that sent me straight into a two-week binge on Wayne County Fair cotton candy. Well, Riton, a lil' bit of Googlin' might have revealed to you that DRB are in fact a Grateful Dead side project headed by my man Micky Hart (and yes, I still like the Dead). Nice goin', wise guy (love your stuff! please make us a mix! kiss kiss kiss!). The always dead-on BumRocks currently has said track up, so here's two more tasty slices of veggie pizza pie.

Word around the campfire is that Manuel Göttsching is totally super-pissed at James Murphy for ripping off the cover art of his legendary E2-E4 for the cover of that wack Nike album. Well, here's something else to piss off the brilliant geezer.

Fusion was definitely like new-rave, but only 30 years earlier. Yeah. I've been wanting Marc Moulin's Placebo Sessions for ever and now I gots it. Yay! Dilla sampled "Humpty Dumpty" too well on The Shining.

Well, we have something blue and I'm wearing shoes, so that means we need something new! Well, as Other Music let me know last week, it turns out young British lad Lukid is the new fire to the raw in the beats game with his album Onandon. To be honest, for all their hype, I was pretty underwhelmed on first listen, but now I'm settling into his Can meets Dilla beats and chugging on those train tracks. Dig it.

To be a noble human being is to from a amiable of openness to the far-out, an cleverness to trusteeship uncertain things beyond your own manage, that can lead you to be shattered in unequivocally exceptional circumstances on which you were not to blame. That says something very weighty with the get of the ethical autobiography: that it is based on a corporation in the uncertain and on a willingness to be exposed; it's based on being more like a spy than like a treasure, something fairly dainty, but whose mere precise attraction is inseparable from that fragility.
