Yessss

Here are some new tracks from the minimalist electro holleration Minilogue. The Space Ep was released earlier this month and its been rolling through my consciousness for a few evenings now. Finally I'm out from under that oppressive heat wave so I'm taking these tracks down to the river to watch the barges float by in the dark.

Minilogue - Space

Minilogue - Star Command

The new Death is Nothing to Fear EP is solid. It follows the Minilogue well and it comes highly recommended. You can pick it up here along with the first one.

Mikael Stavöstrand - Can You See Through My Eyes?

James t. Cotton - 2 Keys

Last but not least something to move to. Something real from the long lost Black Devil Disco Club and Prins Thomas. Move well.

Black Devil Disco Club - On Just Foot (slide inside) (Prins Thomas Remix)

Did you know that Wayne's World was filmed in just two weeks?

MESHUGAGNOSIS

**I've updated all the shite links in this post with alternate YSI links and bumped it

Whats up weekend kitties? This is the weekend I take easy in Jersey before leaving the East Coast to go back (mid)west, but that doesn't mean I can't have brain parties and you can't have real ones. Then again, Flosstradumus vs. Cosmo and Pase Rock tomorrow at FUCKING STUDIO B does sound like crack.

Well, we'll see how my dome feels. Anyway, on to the jams!

ED FLISSAs the principal contributer to breakcore lovelies Duran Duran Duran and Ted Dancin', Ed Flis has made a name for himself as one Philly's most talented heavy bass artists. This dude is not only clearly on the edge but also all about exploding cocks, maximum brutality, and boning. More power to him. These drilled out bangers come from his website (contains pornographic content) and throb along like starved bonobos on cocaine. Great breakcore.
Ed Flis - FuckFuckDance

Duran Duran Duran - Slow Turnout at the Fuck Palace (what the fuck is that sample!?)

TADD MULLINIX
Still stuck on Spectral Sound. Here's some more Ghostly genius from Tadd Mullinix (aka Dabrye, here operating under his acid house pseudonym, James T. Cotton) and Kompakt king Rheinard Voigt. This track has one that makes me feel like I'm having my face licked by an animatronic rhinoceros. What could be better?
James T. Cotton - Buck (Reinhard Voigt Mix)
[alternate link]

EROL ALKAN
Finally, here's the first track of the Beyond the Wizard's Sleeve EP, Spring. BTWS is Erol Alkan's psych-throwback project, think Tropicalia meets 60s garage with minor anachronistic electro flourishes, very interesting and apparently highly sought after, as it was apparently self-released on their own 3rd mynd label. If you can find it, buy the shit.
Beyond the Wizards Sleeve - Don't Cry Girl [alternate link]

Also, if you haven't heard it you should:
Klaxons - Golden Skans (Erol Alkan's Ekstra Spektrl Dub)
(fluokids had it first) [alternate link]

ps. I have a secret request. If any of our readers has an Oink account and has invites to give, I am on an endless search for one. If you feel like helping me out, drop me a line>>> barnettd@grinnell.edu
