Techno Renaissance Man

Blame it on not having lived outside of the midwest for these past 22 years of my becoming, but often I just feel hopelessly behind those folk blazing dem trails over in sweet Europa. Enter our subject for today, a young German savant whose Pantha du Prince alias has been turning my dome inside out as of late. There's really nothing like hearing something new and just immediately turning into a puddle of bliss, which seems to be Pantha's MO. What's even more remarkable is that while his music invokes so many styles and artists, the tracks themselves go far and beyond "Superpitcher, but heavier and more beautiful"-type write-ups into a territory wholly their own. So immersive, so hard, so transcendant. So here's the first track off of 2004's Diamond Daze, as well as two bangers off his new album This Bliss . All highly recommended.

Also, West Coast purveyors of stoned-out electro jamz, Sentrall Records have what seems to be the new Hatchback EP up and streaming. Super psyched for this one--Sentrall is bringing the pain-killers to the masses.

It being the weekend and all, I feel the need to post one more track that will probably cause you to pull a muscle from raising the roof soooo hard. The always on-point ASRESTLESSASWEARE posted Loop Tracers' "Talons Aiguilles" (a duo that seemingly fell into the Seine after the release of their 12'' We Fuck the FN) a couple weeks back and seeing that a) like 30 people have downloaded it, and b) the track totally rules, I feel compelled to re-post the link here. This is a serious, full-on French House rocker that makes me feel like I'm 10 years of age and watching Cindy Crawford interview the Shaq Attack on MTV's House of Style back in 1994, though the jam came out in 1997. If you're having a party this weekend, you could probably get away with just putting this track on repeat.

Having read this I thought it was rather informative.
I appreciate you taking the time and energy to put this short
article together. I once again find myself spending
a significant amount of time both reading and leaving comments.
But so what, it was still worthwhile!
