GHETTOBLASTER

tho i am all about the worst John Hughes films, im not all about Space Cowboy, or if I am I'm not ready to admit it, but everyone who heard his and FF's Earth Out version of Bossy knows that an Alan Braxe refit doesn't always need to sound like the original so long as it sounds like someone stirring a vat of psychedelic carmelizing candy foam. Take a spoon to this shit, fresh from Tiger Trax:

808 State & Bjork - Ooops (YouTube Video)
Crusing around the Balmarghinal boards I caught this gem, saucy remixes of this 1991 colab between acid-house projenitors 808 State and a young Bjork. Ooops itself (in its original/video mix) is a surreal mid-tempo house track notable for the vocals, but on the Tommy Boy 12", 808 deliver a pair of liquid remixes that are notable for taking it to your FACE. My pick is the Utsula Head Mix for pure flavor. The video really owns, too.

In Air - Bleeding Capsule (YouTube)
The new musical project from close TRP cohort Aaron Bernstein, In Air is brutalizing and tender and their newest song Bleeding Capsule is a looping, bubbling cacophony of twisted pop. "The remnants of Ghostcloud, In Air was formed despite crippling circumstances." Please support the boys by checking out this video and their myspace.
